Handmade Mathematics

I’ve always done my best work by writing things down physically on quite literally any kind of paper I could find. Maybe its just the way I internalize things best, but as a result of having done this for the entirety of my graduate journey, I’ve accumulated and preserved hundreds of pages, a select few you can see here. On these, you’ll find a slew of lengthy computations, ideas and explanations to myself. I immortalize them here since they showcase some of the hidden, important, and very human process behind mathematics.

These pages also serve as a memoir; even though I don’t remember writing out each and every line, I do remember vividly what I was trying to achieve or prove at the time.

Take a look at these pages in detail, and I’m sure you’ll find something familiar — maybe a theorem or a diagram. You’ll also definitely find mistakes, and maybe even just nonsense. The first big insights into some theorems that I have proven and published can be found here too.

All of it is real math that was useful to me in my career one way or another.
